Who we are

mycholesterolcare is operated by Digio Apps LLC ("Digio Apps", "we", "us"). Digio Apps LLC is the data controller for the personal data collected through this website, which means we decide how and why your data is processed.

What we collect and why

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Account data — your email address and login credentials, used to create and secure your member account (legal basis: performance of our contract with you).
  • Profile and usage data — your saved favourite recipes, meal plans, lesson progress and checklists, used to provide the course features you signed up for (legal basis: contract performance).
  • Support messages — anything you send us, including refund requests and their reasons, used to respond to you and to process refunds (legal basis: contract performance and legitimate interests).
  • Technical data — IP address, device and browser identifiers, and basic usage/telemetry data, used to keep the service secure, prevent fraud and improve the product (legal basis: legitimate interests).

We do not collect or store your payment card details. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe (see "Who we share data with").

Who we share data with

  • Stripe, our payment provider and merchant of record, which processes the sale of the course, payment management, tax compliance and invoicing. Stripe is the seller of record on your receipt and processes your payment data under its own privacy terms.
  • Service providers who host and operate the site (cloud hosting, database, authentication, analytics and support tooling), acting on our instructions.
  • Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants, where needed.
  • Authorities where we are required to share data by law.

International transfers

Some of our service providers (including Stripe and our hosting providers) process data outside the UK/EEA. Where personal data leaves the UK/EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep data

We keep your account and course data for as long as your account is active. Support and transaction-related records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting law. When data is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Depending on your country, you may have the right to access, correct or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. If you are in the UK/EEA you also have the right to complain to your supervisory authority, and we will respond to requests within one month. To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the support details on your payment receipt.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls and row-level isolation of member data in our database.

Cookies and your choices

Necessary cookies and storage keep you signed in, remember your lesson progress and preferences, and process your payment. These are always on because the service cannot work without them.

Optional analytics cookies help us understand how lessons and recipes are used, and optional marketing cookies let us measure which ads bring people to the course. In the UK, EEA and Switzerland these stay switched off until you accept them. You can accept, reject or change each purpose at any time:

We keep a record of each choice — the purposes you accepted, when, the wording shown to you and the version of this notice — so we can show the consent we relied on. Clearing cookies and site data in your browser will also sign you out and reset stored preferences.

Changes

If we change this notice we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated notice.
